- Analyze the existing GraphRAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) architecture to identify latency bottlenecks, specifically focusing on the efficiency and frequency of local LLM calls.
- Research state-of-the-art LLM optimization techniques, including model selection and quantization, prompt chaining, and local instance acceleration.
- Design and implement a performance-enhanced LLM pipeline that significantly reduces inference time for real-time shop floor (assembly operations) applications.
- Develop automated testing pipelines to conduct comprehensive latency studies and benchmark the new concept against the legacy workflow.
- Optional: Conduct usability and evaluation studies to ensure the improved response times meet the practical needs of hands-free, worker-led assembly processes.
- Enrolled full-time student (d/f/m) in the area of Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering with a strong focus on IT and software development or an equivalent field of study.
- First practical experience in the field of Large Language Models (LLMs), Natural Language Processing (NLP), or general AI development is desirable.
- Fluent in English, German is a plus.
- Proficiency in Python programming and hands-on experience with modern machine learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, LangChain, or Hugging Face).
- Familiarity with Graph Databases, especially neo4j, (for GraphRAG) or speech processing technologies (STT/TTS) is a plus.

Wichtiges für Werkstudierende

Wochenstunden
Praktika haben keine 20-Stunden-Grenze, ein freiwilliges Praktikum über drei Monate muss aber in der Regel mindestens den Mindestlohn zahlen. Pflichtpraktika im Studium sind davon ausgenommen.
Werkstudenten-RegelnSozialabgaben
Pflichtpraktika sind weitgehend von Sozialabgaben befreit. Freiwillige Praktika gelten ab einer gewissen Dauer als reguläre Beschäftigung, dann fallen meist Beiträge an.
Versicherung prüfenInternationale Studierende
