Terms of Service

1. Scope and Definitions

These Terms of Service govern the use of workingstudentjobs.de ("the Service"), a job aggregation platform for working student and internship positions in Germany. "User" refers to any natural person accessing or using the Service. By accessing the Service, you agree to these Terms.

2. Description of Service

workingstudentjobs.de aggregates job listings from publicly available sources including company career pages, applicant tracking systems (ATS), and LinkedIn. We use AI classification to identify working student (Werkstudent) and internship positions. The Service provides search, filter, and alert functionality to help users discover relevant opportunities. Job applications are processed directly through the respective employer's application system.

3. Paid Listings for Employers

Employers can buy sponsored listings on the Service. Prices are shown on the employer page including VAT and are payable once, in advance, via Stripe. The following applies to every paid listing:

• A standard listing runs for 30 days from publication. An Until filled listing runs in 30-day cycles and is renewed free of charge only when the employer confirms via the check-in email that the position is still open. Without that confirmation, or once the employer reports the position as filled, the listing ends at the close of the current cycle.
• An Until filled listing ends at the latest six months after its first publication, regardless of confirmations. One listing covers one open position; using it for a different role, or renewing it for a position that is already filled, is misuse and entitles us to end the listing without refund.
• Views and applications are reported as measured by our own analytics. Views are a floor, not a census, because ad blockers suppress a share of tracking. Applications are counted as clicks on the apply button, on our site or on a job's apply link shown by apps that use our public API (section 6), plus applications sent to the employer by email through the Service.
• There is no refund for a listing that ends early because the position was filled. Where a listing does not go live for reasons within our control, we refund the price in full.

4. Content and Accuracy

Job listings are sourced from third-party platforms. While we employ AI and manual review processes to ensure quality, we cannot guarantee:

• The accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of job listing information
• That listed positions are still available or have not been filled
• The legitimacy of employers or job postings

5. User Conduct

Users agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes related to job searching. Prohibited activities include: automated scraping or data extraction beyond normal browsing, except through the public API (section 6); attempting to interfere with Service operations; using the Service to send unsolicited communications; or any activity that violates applicable laws or third-party rights.

6. Public API

We offer a free public API for our job listings, documented at workingstudentjobs.de/developers. You may use it free of charge, including in commercial apps. It is provided as is, and section 7 applies. The following conditions apply:

• Show each job with the url or apply_url the API returns as its link.
• Do not use the API to re-host our listings as a competing job board.
• Do not get around the rate limit, for example by spreading requests over many IP addresses.
• We grant no rights in third-party job content. Listings remain the property of their publishers, and you are responsible for how you use them.
• We may change, limit or end the API. Changes that break existing use ship as a new version, and the previous version then stays available for 6 months, unless legal or security reasons require otherwise. We may block access that breaks these conditions.

7. Limitation of Liability

workingstudentjobs.de and its operator provide the Service "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for: decisions made based on job listing information; outcomes of job applications; technical interruptions or data loss; or content on third-party websites linked from our Service.

Liability for slight negligence is excluded except in cases of breach of essential contractual obligations, injury to life, body, or health, or under the German Product Liability Act (ProdHaftG). Essential obligations are those necessary for the proper execution of the contract and on which the user may regularly rely.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on workingstudentjobs.de, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of the operator or licensed from third parties. Job listing content remains the property of the respective employers. The compilation and presentation of listings is protected under German copyright law.

9. Data Protection

Data processing is governed by our Privacy Policy (Datenschutzerklärung) in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and German data protection law. Job alert subscriptions require email addresses, which are stored securely and used solely for delivering job notifications.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes become effective upon publication on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). The place of jurisdiction is Passau, Germany, if the user is a merchant, legal entity under public law, or special fund under public law.
