About
The story behind workingstudentjobs.de — what we are, how we work, and who built it.
Our mission
workingstudentjobs.de is an independent job board dedicated to Working Student (Werkstudent) and internship positions in Germany. We built it because finding these roles is harder than it should be — listings are scattered across dozens of company career pages, ATS platforms, and LinkedIn, with no single reliable destination for students looking for English-friendly opportunities.
Our goal is simple: bring every relevant working student listing in Germany into one place, automatically filter out irrelevant content, and make the experience genuinely useful for both local and international students.

How it works
Continuous ingestion from ATS APIs
We connect directly to the hiring platforms companies use — Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, SmartRecruiters, BambooHR, Personio, Workday — and fetch all open listings multiple times per day. This means we see new roles within hours of them being posted, not days.
AI classification and quality scoring
Every listing passes through an AI pipeline powered by Groq's LLaMA model. It checks whether the role is genuinely a working student or internship position, assigns a confidence score, detects location, required languages, and the relevant field (tech, finance, marketing, etc.). Listings that don't meet the threshold are queued for human review.
Publish, review, or discard
High-confidence working student roles are published instantly. Lower-confidence listings go to a manual review queue. Jobs no longer advertised by the employer are automatically removed after 30 days — so you won't apply to a position that's already been filled.
Who built this
Dinh Minh Vu
Founder & Developerworkingstudentjobs.de is built and maintained by Dinh Minh Vu, a software engineering student at the University of Passau, Germany. As an international student navigating the German job market himself, he built this platform to solve a problem he experienced firsthand — there was no single, reliable destination for English-friendly working student positions.
The project started as a personal tool, grew into a full-stack product with a daily ingestion pipeline, AI classification, salary analytics, and a multilingual interface — and it's still improving.
Platforms we support
We integrate with the applicant tracking systems (ATS) used by the majority of German tech and startup employers, so you get listings directly from the source:
