Huawei's Kepler Research Center in Jena is responsible for advanced technology research and architectural development of optics-related products.

At the Kepler Research Center – Automotive Optics Team we are now looking for a:

Intern - Machine Learning for Digital Holography (m/f/d)

We are seeking a skilled candidate in machine learning for computer-generated holography in field of automotive head-up-display (HUD) applications.

Your mission

  • Perform research and develop algorithmic techniques in machine learning for computer-generated holography in field of optical displays and projection systems.
  • Optimize holographic projection systems by integrating machine learning to enable real-time rendering, reduce noise, and enhance spatial resolution.
  • Go from the analysis of the application requirements, through solution design and system simulation, up to proof of concept and prototyping.
  • Track the advanced technologies in the relevant fields, gain insight into and explore new technologies and direction.
  • Extensive interaction and close collaboration with co-workers in the team and from other departments, combine with top industry resources to achieve the business objectives.

Your areas of expertise

  • Proven experiences in development of machine learning and/or deep learning models are preferred.
  • Strong theoretical and practical background in signal processing, image processing, and/or computer vision is preferred.
  • Advanced programming skills in Python and/or MATLAB.
  • Familiarity with optics, digital holography, and transformers is preferred.
  • Excellent abilities in problem identification, analysis and solving, and systematic and goal-oriented work approach.
  • Enthusiastic to work as part of our international team and fluent communication skills in English.

Wochenstunden

Praktika haben keine 20-Stunden-Grenze, ein freiwilliges Praktikum über drei Monate muss aber in der Regel mindestens den Mindestlohn zahlen. Pflichtpraktika im Studium sind davon ausgenommen.

Pflichtpraktika sind weitgehend von Sozialabgaben befreit. Freiwillige Praktika gelten ab einer gewissen Dauer als reguläre Beschäftigung, dann fallen meist Beiträge an.
