NI is one of the leading manufacturers in the field of Software Defined Radios (SDR). An important prerequisite for the stable operation of SDRs is the performance of RF (radio frequency) front ends.
To extend the test coverage, we are looking for an electrical engineering student for our Dresden R&D site. You will be guided by an experienced mentor who will work with you on a day-to-day basis.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Develop and extend measurement framework with new features and tests in LabVIEW and/or Python
Who You Are:
You are passionate about wireless technology and like to learn and work with the latest measurement techniques and simulation tools. You can manage your time well and reach out to mentors with questions to help drive progress and completion of goals and tasks. You work effectively in a group environment, problem-solve, and diagnose technical issues and propose reasonable solutions.
For This Role, You Will Need:
- Ongoing academic studies in electrical engineering, communication technology, computer science or comparable, in the 4th semester or higher
- First practical experience in programming with Python (e.g., with Arduino, Raspberry Pi)
- First practical experience with RF measurements equipment
- Good command of spoken and written English and/or German
- Availability for 20 hours per week for 6 months starting in October 2026
