Wireless communication, sensing technologies and RF components continue to increase in complexity with added functionality. At the same time, AI is transforming the way engineers design and test these systems and how we all use them. In this internship, you will be looking at ways to modify traditional workflows in test design and analyzing measurement results using AI technology to improve their outcome significantly.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Literature research
- Building proof-of-concept implementations of selected algorithms and functionality
- Assessing performance and quality of results of the implemented algorithms and functionality
- Demonstrating your work to internal stakeholders
- Documenting your work
- You are passionate about wireless technology and like to learn and work with the latest test and measurement techniques and equipment.
- You take time to ask questions and define the problem and make learning a priority.
- You work effectively in a group environment, solve problems, diagnose technical issues and propose reasonable solutions.
- You prepare content for communication that is impactful and reach out to mentors with questions to help drive progress and completion of goals and tasks.
- Ongoing academic studies in Electrical Engineering, Information System Technology, Computer Science, or comparable field of studies (from 4th semester)
- Basic programming knowledge (e.g., Python or C/C++)
- Interest in data science and/or AI with a solid understanding of basic statistical methods
- Basic knowledge of RF engineering
- Good command of spoken and written English and/or German
- Availability for 4 to 6 months starting in October 2026
- This internship must be a mandatory part of your studies
- Experience in the practical use of data analysis tools or methods (in classification & regression, estimation & prediction, data correlation, principal component analysis, …)
- Experience in the practical use of machine learning, deep learning, artificial intelligence tools or methods (AI APIs and toolchains, PyTorch, Tensorflow, …)
- Good knowledge of programming and RF engineering
- Ability to work independently in a structured way

Weekly hours
Internships have no 20-hour cap, but a voluntary internship longer than three months generally has to pay at least the German minimum wage. Mandatory internships in your study programme are exempt.
