Job Description

We are looking for an intern (m/f/diverse) in the area of Radar ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) from August 2026 on for at least 6 months at our location Lindau (Germany).

Your Tasks Include

  • Supporting in Radar pre-development w.r.t algorithms, signal processing and radar data evaluation
  • Literature research on radar waveform design, FMCW modulation principles, and radar streaming concepts
  • Analysis of radar performance requirements for near-, mid-, and far-range within one single radar cycle
  • Evaluation of different modulation schemes (e.g., conventional FMCW, multi-slope FMCW, hybrid chirps, adaptive waveforms) with respect to range resolution, maximum range, and velocity estimation
  • Development of simulation models to analyze the impact of waveform design
  • Implementation and verification of selected modulation schemes using radar simulation tools and recorded data
  • Comparison of theoretical performance predictions with practical system constraints such as available bandwidth, processing power, and hardware limitations

Qualifications

  • Student (m/f/diverse) in Electrical Engineering or a similar field of study
  • Basic knowledge in Radar and Signal Processing
  • Good IT skills and experience in MATLAB and/or Python & C/C++
  • Basic experience in development of IT projects
  • Any experience in the field of Radar, RF and/or antennas is preferable
  • Very good english language skills (written and spoken) are absolutely essential for us

In addition to these qualifications we are also looking for certain characeristics and traits:

  • Soft skills (quick comprehension, analytical thinking, independent work, high level of commitment)
  • Interest in working in an international team
