Introduction

Are you passionate about advanced semiconductor technologies and eager to gain hands-on experience in a cutting-edge wafer fabrication environment? Join our CMOS Product Development team in Fab1 Dresden and contribute to the development of new features for the industry-leading technology platforms.

As an intern, you will work closely with experienced technology development engineers, supporting the execution, monitoring, and documentation of technology development programs that enable the next generation of low-power semiconductor products.

Your Responsibilities

Technology Development Support

  • Monitor development wafers throughout the wafer fabrication process.
  • Support the setup and execution of technology development experiments.
  • Extract, analyze, and track key inline process parameters.
  • Monitor the health and progress of development lots across the fab.
  • Coordinate special characterization activities, including:
    • Inline measurements
    • Laboratory analyses
    • Electrical test evaluations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure timely execution of development activities.
Program Documentation & Digitalization

  • Support the organization and maintenance of technology development documentation.
  • Contribute to establishing unified SharePoint structures for program data management.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining automated technology scorecards and reporting dashboards.
  • Support the implementation of AI-assisted reporting and data analysis solutions to improve program efficiency.

What We Are Looking For

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in:
    • Electrical Engineering
    • Physics
    • Microelectronics
    • Semiconductor Technology
    • Data Science or a related technical field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Interest in semiconductor manufacturing and technology development.
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools such as Excel, Power BI, Python, or similar is an advantage.
  • Basic understanding of semiconductor processes is beneficial but not required.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
  • Self-motivated, structured, and eager to learn.

Wichtiges für Werkstudierende

Was dieses Praktikum im Bereich Ingenieurwesen in Dresden für dich bedeutet: die Vergütungsregeln, die Sozialabgaben und worauf internationale Studierende achten sollten.

Wochenstunden

Praktika haben keine 20-Stunden-Grenze, ein freiwilliges Praktikum über drei Monate muss aber in der Regel mindestens den Mindestlohn zahlen. Pflichtpraktika im Studium sind davon ausgenommen.

Sozialabgaben

Pflichtpraktika sind weitgehend von Sozialabgaben befreit. Freiwillige Praktika gelten ab einer gewissen Dauer als reguläre Beschäftigung, dann fallen meist Beiträge an.
