Join our Signaling Testing Division in Munich (Germany) at the earliest possible date. We are seeking a motivated and talented Software Development Intern to join our development team. This is a mandatory internship position for students currently pursuing a master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in Python programming, object-oriented programming principles, and experience with source control tools like Git and ticket management systems such as Jira.

Your tasks

  • Collaborate with the research team on various AI/ML projects, contributing to the development and implementation of innovative solutions.
  • Design, train, and optimize AI models using frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.
  • Collect, preprocess, and analyze data required for training AI models.
  • Conduct rigorous testing and validation of AI models to ensure performance and reliability.
  • Document research findings, methodologies, and results clearly and comprehensively.
  • Present research outcomes and prototypes to the team and stakeholders.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in AI/ML and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.

Your Qualifications


  • Completed bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field; currently pursuing a Master’s degree in a relevant discipline with a mandatory internship.
  • Deep understanding of AI/ML theories, algorithms, and model training techniques.
  • Proficient in using AI/ML frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.
  • Excellent programming skills in Python, with a strong emphasis on object-oriented programming.
  • Previous professional experience in AI/ML is highly desirable.
  • Nice to have Familiarity with telecommunication protocols.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work autonomously.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Fluent in English (both written and spoken).

Wichtiges für Werkstudierende

Wochenstunden

Praktika haben keine 20-Stunden-Grenze, ein freiwilliges Praktikum über drei Monate muss aber in der Regel mindestens den Mindestlohn zahlen. Pflichtpraktika im Studium sind davon ausgenommen.

Werkstudenten-Regeln

Sozialabgaben

Pflichtpraktika sind weitgehend von Sozialabgaben befreit. Freiwillige Praktika gelten ab einer gewissen Dauer als reguläre Beschäftigung, dann fallen meist Beiträge an.
