Description provided by Sungrow Europe
Servus und hallo bei uns hier in Sungrow! We are so excited you found your way here — because we have something genuinely cool to offer.
About
We are looking for a curious, data-driven intern to join our European O&M (Operations & Maintenance) team as an O&M Monitoring & Insights Intern. You will be right at the heart of how we monitor, manage and continuously improve solar energy sites across Europe — using real platforms, real data, and real impact. Curious what this is all about? Let's dive right in:
- You will support the daily maintenance and data quality improvement of our Insight Portal, making sure the data our teams rely on is accurate, complete and actionable.
- You will assist with API-based data integration, helping connect the Insight Portal with our unified O&M platform and ensuring smooth data flows between systems.
- You will help organize and manage alarm data, site data, asset data and other O&M-related information — keeping things structured and easy to navigate.
- You will support the design and implementation of O&M dashboards and data reports, turning raw data into clear, visual insights for the team.
- You will contribute to data analysis and visualization for O&M performance, site monitoring and issue tracking — helping us see the full picture.
- You will help identify data gaps, system issues and improvement opportunities, playing an active role in shaping the future of our O&M digitalization journey.
Role
All right, all right — that was pretty exciting, wasn't it? Now, in order to fit into this role and be happy here for a long time, your ideal background should look a lot like this:
- You are currently studying Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Renewable Energy, Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field — and you are genuinely curious about how digital tools and energy systems work together.
- You have a structured, analytical mindset and enjoy working with data — whether that means cleaning it, connecting it, or visualizing it in a way that actually makes sense.
- Basic knowledge of APIs, databases, Excel, Power BI, Python or SQL is a plus — you don't need to be an expert, but a willingness to learn and get hands-on is essential.
- Experience with monitoring platforms, IoT data, renewable energy systems or alarm management is a bonus, but absolutely not a dealbreaker — we will help you grow.
- You are detail-oriented and reliable, able to spot inconsistencies in data and think through system logic with patience and precision.
- You communicate confidently in English (C1) — German or Chinese language skills are a plus and will help you connect with colleagues across our international teams.
Joining our European O&M team means stepping into a role where your work genuinely matters from day one. You will gain hands-on experience in renewable energy service operations, digital platform development and business process automation — not just shadowing, but actually contributing to real projects that shape how we manage solar sites across Europe.
You will work in a truly international environment, collaborating with colleagues from different departments, countries and backgrounds, and you will see firsthand how data integration, digital tools and automation come together in a global greentech company. This is your chance to build practical skills, grow your professional network, and be part of something that is actively making the energy transition happen.
