Looking to start your career with purpose?

Astemo is a global mega-supplier of competitive and advanced technologies and products working across the world. Our business supports the evolution of mobility — from Powertrain & Safety Systems, Chassis, Motorcycle to Software and Aftermarket businesses and more. We offer a diverse, international environment where early-career talent can thrive.

As a Working Student in our HR team, you will support the local HR team in Schwaig and the EU Global Mobility team with a mix of operational, administrative, organizational, and project-based tasks. You will gain first-hand insight into how HR and GM supports employees, managers, and business operations in an international environment.

The role is designed to grow over time: you will typically start with structured support tasks and, depending on performance and interest, gradually take on more responsibility and contribute to broader HR and GM topics.

Your core responsibilities include:

Local HR support

  • Support day-to-day HR administration and employee lifecycle processes (onboarding, employee changes, offboarding).
  • Prepare and maintain HR documentation, employee records, and HR files.
  • Support local HR communication and recurring HR operations (absence tracking, training).
  • Support local HR projects focused on employee experience, process improvement and digitalization.
  • Prepare various HR reports.

Global Mobility support

  • Support the administration and coordination of international assignments, relocations, and cross-border employee cases.
  • Prepare Global Mobility documentation, checklists, and process tracking.
  • Coordinate with assignees, managers, GM team, and external mobility providers.
  • Support inbounds in Germany and follow up on immigration, relocation, tax, and social security processes.
  • Support GM projects in the transition to new external service providers and assist with the implementation and coordination of GM initiatives by preparing project documentation, tacking milestones and supporting stakeholder communication.

Profile and Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a degree in HR, Business, Psychology, Law, International Management, or a related field.
  • Interest in HR operations and international HR / Global Mobility.
  • First experience in HR / GM or administration is an advantage.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle confidential information.
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive, service-oriented mindset.
  • Fluent in English; German is required. Other languages are a plus.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint

What we offer

  • Salary : 16€ hourly gross.
  • Practical experience in an international company.
  • A role with genuine development potential and exposure to different HR/GM topics.
  • Insight into how HR/GM supports employees, managers, and business operations.
  • Exposure to local HR processes as well as international HR and Global Mobility topics.
  • Flexible working hours compatible with your studies and hybrid working options.
  • A supportive team environment with clear guidance and learning opportunities.
  • The opportunity to contribute to HR/GM projects and process improvements in a dynamic European environment.
