Our headquarters are in Berlin, Germany, with hubs in London, UK and Tallinn, Estonia. This role is based in Berlin (hybrid). It’s a 6 month opportunity.

What You'll Do

• Support our hiring engine: You'll get hands-on experience across the full recruitment lifecycle — sourcing, screening, scheduling, and supporting offer processes — directly contributing to Upvest's ambitious growth targets.
• Build and own recruitment automations: This is where you'll really make your mark. You'll design, test, and iterate on AI-powered workflows that reduce manual work across the TA team
• Experiment with AI sourcing tools: You'll research, evaluate, and put to work the latest AI sourcing and candidate engagement tools to help us find niche talent faster and more creatively.
• Document and scale what works: When you build something that saves us time or improves quality, you'll write it up so the whole team can use it. You'll be building a playbook, not just fixing one-off problems.
  
  

What You Bring

• Genuine curiosity about AI and automation — you don't need to be a developer, but you should be the kind of person who experiments with new tools before anyone tells you to, and gets genuinely excited about making processes smarter.
• Some exposure to recruitment or HR, whether through a previous internship, university projects, or personal interest — you understand roughly how hiring works and want to go deeper.
• Comfort working with data — you can pull a spreadsheet apart, build a basic dashboard, and spot what the numbers are telling you. Bonus points if you've played with tools like Looker, or similar.
• Strong written communication — you write clearly, adapt your tone for different audiences, and know how to make outreach feel personal even at scale.
• A builder's mindset — you'd rather automate a repetitive task than do it manually three times, and you're not afraid to test something, see it fail, and try again.
• Familiarity with an ATS (Ashby experience is a dream, but any system counts) and an interest in how recruitment tooling actually works under the hood.
• Proactiveness and ownership — internships at fast-moving companies aren't passive. You'll be expected to bring ideas, flag problems, and drive your own workstreams with support rather than waiting to be told what to do next.
