Beschreibung bereitgestellt von Tech Pipeline

Most businesses struggle with reports that do not match up or data that stays stuck in the wrong system. We spend our time finding these friction points and cleaning them up so teams can actually trust the numbers they see.

The role
As a Reporting Analyst Intern, you will help us organize and audit the data flow for our partner, a Berlin-based software company. This role is fully remote and focuses on making sure the daily operational reports are accurate and reflect what is actually happening in the business tools. You will assist the senior team in identifying why specific data points are missing or why a report failed to update.

What you will do
  • Audit daily data exports to find missing entries or formatting errors.
  • Trace specific customer records through different tools to see where the data breaks during transfer.
  • Update internal documentation and SOPs when a reporting process or a tool configuration changes.
  • Compare manual spreadsheet data against system logs to verify that the automation is working correctly.
  • Build simple dashboards that show the status of current process fixes and data health.
  • Clean up messy datasets by identifying and removing duplicates or outdated entries.
  • Log recurring technical issues so the senior team can address the root cause in the system logic.
  • Participate in the reconciliation of finance data to ensure billing matches the software usage logs.

What we are looking for
  • A strong interest in how business data moves between different software platforms and databases.
  • Basic proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets, specifically using functions like vlookups and pivot tables.
  • The ability to write clearly and explain a technical problem in plain words without using jargon.
  • Natural persistence when searching for the reason a specific number does not look right.
  • A logical approach to solving puzzles and untangling complicated instructions.
  • Comfort working in a fully remote environment where you manage your own schedule and tasks.
  • Current enrollment in or recent completion of a degree in a relevant field such as business, math, or information systems.

What we offer
  • A fully remote work setup that respects your focus time and personal space.
  • Direct exposure to how software companies manage their internal operations and data systems.
  • Practical experience fixing real business problems rather than working on theoretical projects.
  • A paid internship with a monthly stipend that is attractive and competitive for this role.
  • Mentorship from senior practitioners who value clear logic over corporate posturing.
  • A work culture that prioritizes written communication and deep work over endless meetings.
  • The opportunity to see the immediate result of your work as reports become more accurate.

How we work
Tech Pipeline operates on the idea that if a process is fixed and stable, our work is done. We do not stay around to attend status meetings that could have been a short written update. Instead, we rely on clear documentation and concise messages to keep everyone informed. We value people who can look at a broken spreadsheet, figure out why it is failing, and fix it without needing a workshop to discuss it. Once the reporting for our Berlin-based partner is automated and reliable, we move on to the next challenge. This philosophy keeps our work focused and our days productive.
