Your Mission

As a Reporting & Compensation Intern, you will support our HR team in transforming people data into meaningful insights and helping drive data-based decision-making across the organization. You will work closely with our Compensation and Planning & Reporting specialists, contributing to HR analytics, reporting, dashboard development, compensation processes, and data quality initiatives.

This internship is ideal for students with a strong analytical mindset who enjoy working with data, reporting tools, and process optimization in an HR environment.

HR Reporting & Analytics

  • Create, maintain, and optimize HR dashboards and reports using Power BI and Excel.
  • Analyze workforce data and provide actionable insights related to headcount, compensation, performance, retention, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Support recurring and ad-hoc reporting requests for HR stakeholders and management.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across reporting solutions.

Automation & Process Optimization

  • Identify manual HR processes and reporting activities that can be automated.
  • Develop and maintain automated workflows using Power Automate and other automation tools.
  • Convert complex Excel-based reporting solutions into scalable and reliable Python-based processes.
  • Support the standardization and modernization of HR reporting and analytics infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to improve process efficiency and reduce manual effort.

Data Engineering & System Integration

  • Support the extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of HR data from multiple sources.
  • Work with APIs and system integrations to automate data collection and reporting processes.
  • Support data validation, quality checks, and governance activities.
  • Contribute to the development of sustainable reporting solutions and analytics frameworks.

Compensation & Performance Analytics

  • Assist in the annual Performance and Salary Review (PSR) process through data preparation, validation, and reporting.
  • Create analytical models and visualizations to support compensation-related decision-making.
  • Support job architecture and organizational analytics projects.


Your Profile


Technical Skills

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are required, including complex formulas, Pivot Tables, and Power Query.
  • Knowledge of Power BI, including dashboard development and data modelling or willingness to learn.
  • Experience with Python for data analytics, reporting automation, and data transformation.
  • Knowledge of SQL and database concepts is considered a strong advantage.
  • Experience working with APIs and system integrations is highly desirable.
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Automate or similar workflow automation platforms is highly desirable.
  • Understanding of ETL processes, data quality management, and reporting best practices is an advantage.
  • Interest in HR analytics, compensation analytics, business intelligence, and process automation.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Analytics, Industrial Engineering, Data Science, Human Resources, Statistics, or a comparable field.
  • Previous dual studies or internship experience in data analytics, reporting, business intelligence, HR analytics, or compensation is a plus.
  • Excellent English skills are required; German is a plus.
