Compensation: €600 gross/month
Launch your career in the international series industry! Join Seriesly Berlin for Season 03 and gain hands-on experience behind the scenes of one of Europe's most exciting festivals for serial storytelling.
As a Festival Intern, you will become part of our international team and contribute to the successful delivery of the festival, conference, and industry programme. You'll work closely with experienced professionals, gain valuable insights into festival production, and build a strong network within the audiovisual industry.
We are currently offering internship opportunities in three areas:
- Program Coordination
- Guest Management
- Accreditation & Ticketing
Depending on your interests and skills, you will support one of these departments while collaborating closely with the entire festival team.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Supporting the planning and execution of festival and conference activities
- Coordinating participants, speakers, guests and industry professionals
- Managing festival databases, mailings and administrative workflows
- Assisting with accreditation and online ticketing systems
- Organising travel, accommodation and guest communications
- Supporting panel sessions, industry events and networking activities
- Coordinating information desks and festival operations during the event
- Working closely with volunteers and helping ensure a smooth festival experience
- Contributing to audience development, ticket sales and promotional activities
We're looking for enthusiastic, reliable and proactive people who enjoy working in a dynamic international environment.
You should:
- Be based in Berlin.
- Be enrolled in a university programme requiring a mandatory internship (Pflichtpraktikum).
- Have an interest in film, television or the audiovisual industry.
- Be organised, solution-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks.
- Enjoy communicating with guests, partners and international participants.
- Be comfortable working independently while contributing to a collaborative team.
- Speak fluent English and have a good working knowledge of German.
- Previous experience in festivals, events or cultural organisations is an advantage but not required.
- A unique behind-the-scenes experience at an international series festival.
- Practical experience in festival production, event management and industry networking.
- Meaningful responsibilities from day one.
- A creative, supportive and highly motivated international team.
- Valuable professional contacts within the European audiovisual industry.
- Monthly compensation of €600 gross.

Wochenstunden
Praktika haben keine 20-Stunden-Grenze, ein freiwilliges Praktikum über drei Monate muss aber in der Regel mindestens den Mindestlohn zahlen. Pflichtpraktika im Studium sind davon ausgenommen.
Werkstudenten-RegelnSozialabgaben
Pflichtpraktika sind weitgehend von Sozialabgaben befreit. Freiwillige Praktika gelten ab einer gewissen Dauer als reguläre Beschäftigung, dann fallen meist Beiträge an.
Versicherung prüfenInternationale Studierende
Studierende von außerhalb der EU dürfen 140 volle oder 280 halbe Tage im Jahr arbeiten (seit März 2024, zuvor 120/240). Ein Werkstudentenvertrag passt meist in diesen Rahmen — prüfe die genauen Grenzen auf deinem Aufenthaltstitel.
