Role Description The Community & Operations Intern (remote) is a part-time(20h) role focused on supporting GamingCenter’s global creator and player community while contributing to day-to-day operational processes. In this role, you will help manage online community spaces, respond to user inquiries, and support creators and players with onboarding and platform navigation. You will assist with organizing and tracking bookings, maintaining accurate records, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure smooth, reliable operations. The intern will contribute to community engagement initiatives, gather feedback from users, and help identify opportunities to improve communication, workflows, and user experience. You will work remotely with a distributed team across time zones, using digital tools to collaborate, report on key activities, and support the scalability of GamingCenter’s international marketplace.
Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal skills and community engagement experience to build positive relationships with diverse global users.
  • Clear, professional communication skills for interacting with creators, players, and internal teams across digital channels.
  • Customer service and community management skills to handle inquiries, resolve issues, and maintain respectful, inclusive community spaces.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Interest in gaming, esports, or digital creator economies; prior experience with online communities or platforms is an advantage.
  • Comfort using collaboration tools (e.g., email, chat platforms, ticketing or CRM systems, basic spreadsheets) and learning new software quickly.
  • Enrollment in or completion of studies in business, communications, media, or a related field is beneficial but not required.

Wochenstunden

Praktika haben keine 20-Stunden-Grenze, ein freiwilliges Praktikum über drei Monate muss aber in der Regel mindestens den Mindestlohn zahlen. Pflichtpraktika im Studium sind davon ausgenommen.

Sozialabgaben

Pflichtpraktika sind weitgehend von Sozialabgaben befreit. Freiwillige Praktika gelten ab einer gewissen Dauer als reguläre Beschäftigung, dann fallen meist Beiträge an.

Internationale Studierende

Studierende von außerhalb der EU dürfen 140 volle oder 280 halbe Tage im Jahr arbeiten (seit März 2024, zuvor 120/240). Ein Werkstudentenvertrag passt meist in diesen Rahmen — prüfe die genauen Grenzen auf deinem Aufenthaltstitel.
