Role Description
This is a remote, internship position for a Backend Developer. The intern will contribute to designing, developing, and maintaining backend systems to support GamingCenter's platform functionalities. Responsibilities include creating efficient database systems, integrating APIs, enhancing platform performance, debugging, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver scalable and high-quality solutions for users. The role provides an opportunity to gain significant hands-on experience in building digital products within a global gaming and esports marketplace.
What You’ll Do- Build backend APIs for user actions, sessions, and payments
- Develop the XP and ranking system
- Implement Discord automation (roles, channels, notifications)
- Design scalable database structures
- Work on event-driven systems and backend logic
- Node.js or Python
- PostgreSQL
- APIs & backend architecture
- Discord API integration
- Basic experience with backend development
- Understanding of APIs and databases
