Company Description

Arbor Capital is a Buy and Build private equity fund founded by two large cap PE investors (ex-Bain Capital, Blackstone, SVP, 3i, and TowerBrook). We focus on Buy and Build platform investments in B2B and high value manufacturing industries in DACH and UK. Our source of differentiation lies in our operational approach to private equity: we believe in driving operational improvement, and partnering SMEs and founders to build durable, market-leading businesses.

Our first platform investment, Neuplaner, an audit, tax and accounting rollup has raised €100M from leading institutional investors, and acquires 7–10 firms p.a. We are currently working on 3 new platforms, which we aim to bring to market soon.

We are looking for a Working Student (minimum 15 hrs/week; 20 preferred) to work across the full investment lifecycle, contributing at both the fund and platform level. We are looking for exceptional candidates, self-starters with drive, motivation, and track record of excellence. There is a possibility of transitioning to a full-time internship role.

Core areas of focus the position

  • Sector research: Prepare sector analysis and assessment to identify attractive sectors and subsectors across Europe. Apply rigorous bottoms-up underwriting frameworks.
  • Origination: Devise target identification, qualification, and outreach strategies. Develop and manage acquisition funnel. Contact, call, and meet targets.
  • Due diligence: Conduct and manage financial, commercial and technical due diligence of priority targets (platform, nucleus, or add-on).
  • Financial Modelling: Prepare operating and financial models to support underwriting, pricing, and decision-making.
  • Prepare IC and investor materials: Prepare investment committee presentations and project materials to underwrite platforms or add-ons. Prepare debt and equity investor materials. Act as a vocal participant in IC discussions and decision-making.
  • AI & agentic workflows: Contribute to the expansion of our existing AI platform and workflows across the investment process.
