Description provided by Brose Group
Brose Ventures is the corporate venture capital arm of Brose SE. We invest in ambitious technology startups shaping the future of mobility, industrial technology, and new business models, spanning from automotive technologies, AI & software, robotics & automation, and industrial deep tech.
As part of our team, you will work hands-on across the investment process, contribute to strategic VC initiatives, and actively help build new formats (including a startup accelerator program). For us, you are not “the working student” — you are a fully integrated member of the VC team.
Your Tasks
As an Intern at Brose Ventures, you will gain exposure to venture capital, corporate strategy, and startup ecosystems, with real ownership and a steep learning curve. Your responsibilities include:
- Startup Scouting & Deal Sourcing (Focus): Identifying, screening, and analyzing high-potential tech startups (focus on early-stage startups at the seed and Series A stages)
- Investment & Due Diligence Support: Supporting market, competitive, and business model analyses as well as startup evaluations
- Market Intelligence & Trend Analysis: Building and maintaining deep market and technology insights across our investment focus areas (e.g. AI, robotics, mobility, industrial tech)
- Accelerator & Venture Initiatives: Actively contributing to the setup of a new Brose Venture Accelerator Program, which includes investments into startups that participate in the program
- Founder Interaction: Engaging with founding teams and participating in startup events, demo days, and industry conferences
- Venture Operations: Maintaining long-/shortlists, venture databases, and CRM systems (e.g. PitchBook, Crunchbase, Affinity)
- Communication & Network Coordination: Supporting internal and external communication, marketing, and ecosystem initiatives
We are looking for highly motivated, intellectually curious, and ambitious students who are eager to take ownership and learn fast.
Ideally, you bring:
- Ongoing studies in business, economics, engineering, industrial engineering, or a comparable field
- First relevant experience in venture capital, consulting, technology startups, automotive, tech, or finance
- Strong analytical skills and a structured, independent working style
- High levels of initiative, curiosity, and entrepreneurial mindset
- Proficiency in MS Office; experience with VC databases (PitchBook, Crunchbase) and CRM tools is a plus
- Excellent German and English skills, written and spoken
- Continuous enrollment as a student throughout the employment period
Why Brose Ventures?
- Direct involvement in VC deals; No pure research role
- High responsibility and visibility from day one
- Direct exposure to founders, and senior executives from startups
- Steep learning curve across venture capital, strategy, and mobility
- Strong signaling value and references for future careers in VC, PE, consulting, or investment banking
- Flexible working hours
