WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Active involvement in tax compliance (e.g., CIT and VAT returns) where you will go beyond data entry: You will learn to ensure data integrity and connect the dots between tax reporting, the P&L, and the balance sheet to understand the broader financial impact on our business.
  • Assist in the digital transformation of tax processes, including SAP optimization and the implementation of automated tax reporting tools.
  • Ensure high-quality tax data by conducting monthly tax checks and supporting the Internal Tax Compliance Management System (TCMS).
  • Help to design, track and visualize Tax KPIs to enhance strategic decision-making.
  • Analyse existing and upcoming tax laws regarding their impact on Trade Republic's existing and future business.
  • Drive innovation by screening and evaluating new digitization tools and AI use cases to continuously improve our internal work methods.

What We're Looking For



  • Academic background in Business, Law, or Economics with a clear focus on Taxation (e.g., specialized tax modules or initial internship experience)
  • Initial practical experience in Tax
  • Strong affinity for numbers and the motivation to learn how to translate complex tax data into clear reports
  • Proficient Microsoft Excel knowledge and an AI native mindset, familiarity with SAP is a plus
  • Self-driven personality with a "hands-on" approach and high attention to detail
  • Proficiency in English and German (German is essential for local tax regulations)
  • Berlin-based or willingness to relocate to Berlin between 15 July and 15 Oct 2026

Wochenstunden

Praktika haben keine 20-Stunden-Grenze, ein freiwilliges Praktikum über drei Monate muss aber in der Regel mindestens den Mindestlohn zahlen. Pflichtpraktika im Studium sind davon ausgenommen.

Sozialabgaben

Pflichtpraktika sind weitgehend von Sozialabgaben befreit. Freiwillige Praktika gelten ab einer gewissen Dauer als reguläre Beschäftigung, dann fallen meist Beiträge an.

Internationale Studierende

Studierende von außerhalb der EU dürfen 140 volle oder 280 halbe Tage im Jahr arbeiten (seit März 2024, zuvor 120/240). Ein Werkstudentenvertrag passt meist in diesen Rahmen — prüfe die genauen Grenzen auf deinem Aufenthaltstitel.
