The AI Platform team builds the tools that help SumUp merchants run their businesses more intelligently. At the centre of this is Edge, SumUp's AI-powered assistant, which spans insights, automation, document processing, and market intelligence across millions of merchant interactions. This is a hands-on role with real ownership. You won't be shadowing, you'll be contributing to live initiatives, writing structured requirements, and working directly alongside engineers, data scientists, and designers to shape what gets built next. What you'll do

  • Support the Group Product Manager on 1-2 active product initiatives, from discovery through to engineering-ready requirements
  • Write clear, structured briefs, product requirements, and discovery summaries that help the team move faster
  • Build and maintain competitive analyses of the AI product landscape
  • Track initiative progress and keep stakeholders informed, flagging blockers early and proactively
  • Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and designers in team rituals including stand-ups, planning sessions, and reviews

You'll be great for this role if…

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Strong ability to write structured documents such as briefs, analyses, or requirements, with clarity and precision
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity and able to bring structure to problems that aren't yet well-defined
  • Experience using AI tools as part of a daily workflow, with a genuine understanding of the AI product landscape
  • Confident communicating with a range of stakeholders, including senior team members, both in writing and in conversation
