Description provided by Wellbeing AI Research
About AI for Happiness
AI for Happiness is an AI-powered platform for people who take their growth seriously.
We combine scientific research, AI, and practical tools to help individuals improve how they think, communicate, build relationships, and perform under real-world conditions. We do not separate wellbeing from performance. We train them as one system.
Our users actively work on themselves using 50+ tools across 12 capability areas, including Strategic Thinking, Communication, Innovation, and Relationships.
This Internship Is Different
This is not a passive internship. It is designed for people who want to grow fast, both personally and professionally, while helping others do the same.
Think of this as a founder’s assistant role. You will work closely with the founder, move fast, and continuously challenge yourself to create real value.
You will not be given tasks. You will take ownership, make decisions, and learn by doing in a high-responsibility environment.
If you are already investing in your own development, you will feel at home here.
What You’ll Do
- Run 0 to 1 experiments: test ideas, measure impact, and iterate quickly
- Contribute directly to improving our AI tools and programs
- Take ownership of projects across product, growth, and operations
- Help keep key systems running, including marketing, community, and certification programs
- Turn ideas into execution with real metrics and real responsibility
How We Hire
We select people who engage with the product, not just talk about it.
You will receive one free month of AI for Happiness.
- Choose one tool that genuinely resonates with you
- Use it
- Create a short video in English or German explaining what it does and what you experienced
If we love your video, we may publish it on our platform.
The strongest candidates, based on video and application, will receive the internship. We may accept multiple candidates.
Who You Are
- You actively work on your own growth, not just interested in it
- You have used wellbeing, self-development, or mental performance tools or apps and reflected on what works and what does not
- You care about psychology, wellbeing, AI, or human potential
- You are a builder who takes initiative and follows through
- You are a generalist with at least one strong skill such as UX or UI, growth, content, community, or user research, psychology (we are happy to be surprised)
- You are comfortable taking ownership in ambiguous situations
- You are creative and like vanquishing obstacles by thinking in new ways
- You are a student or recent graduate, 10 to 20 hours per week
- You speak English or German fluently
What You Get
- Flexible remote work
- Full access to AI for Happiness
- Direct collaboration with the founder
- Real responsibility from day one
- A fast learning environment focused on personal and professional growth
- Opportunity to transition into a long-term or full-time role
Working student essentials
What this Tech internship in Berlin means for you: the pay rules, the social contributions, and what international students should check before applying.
Weekly hours
Internships have no 20-hour cap, but a voluntary internship longer than three months generally has to pay at least the German minimum wage. Mandatory internships in your study programme are exempt.
Working student rulesSocial contributions
Mandatory internships are largely exempt from social contributions. Voluntary internships are treated like regular employment once they run long enough, so contributions usually apply.
Check your insuranceInternational students
Non-EU students can work 140 full or 280 half days per year (raised from 120/240 in March 2024). A working student contract usually fits within this — confirm the exact limits printed on your residence permit.
