Your role & Mission

As an intern in the Workplace Technology team you will help support our Forto colleagues with all of their IT needs whether it is at our office in Berlin or remotely throughout Europe. You will also learn many new skills and participate in major projects to improve the employee experience at Forto.

What you will do

  • Deploy Windows 10, MacOS and iOS devices
  • Provide IT support for employees throughout Europe using Jira Service Desk
  • Help administer our cloud apps and maintain our meeting rooms
  • Escalate issues with our suppliers and vendors as required
  • Produce concise and professional documentation in Jira Confluence
  • Support various Workplace Technology projects and OKRs

Required Skills And Experience

  • You speak fluent English. German is a big plus but not required.
  • You ideally have some previous experience in corporate IT support, or a relevant IT certification (CCNA, CompTIA A+, ITF+, or Network+)
  • You know Windows or MacOS inside and out and have a basic understanding of IT network infrastructure.
  • You are a problem solver and know how to find the solution to issues you have not encountered before.
  • You have attention to detail. Focusing on quality work instead of quantity.
  • You are a fast learner and can quickly adapt to situations you have not encountered before.
  • You enjoy interaction with non-technical people and can explain difficult things in a simple way.
  • You are available for six months full time work

Wochenstunden

Praktika haben keine 20-Stunden-Grenze, ein freiwilliges Praktikum über drei Monate muss aber in der Regel mindestens den Mindestlohn zahlen. Pflichtpraktika im Studium sind davon ausgenommen.

Werkstudenten-Regeln

Sozialabgaben

Pflichtpraktika sind weitgehend von Sozialabgaben befreit. Freiwillige Praktika gelten ab einer gewissen Dauer als reguläre Beschäftigung, dann fallen meist Beiträge an.

Versicherung prüfen

Internationale Studierende

Studierende von außerhalb der EU dürfen 140 volle oder 280 halbe Tage im Jahr arbeiten (seit März 2024, zuvor 120/240). Ein Werkstudentenvertrag passt meist in diesen Rahmen — prüfe die genauen Grenzen auf deinem Aufenthaltstitel.
