What You´ll Build

In this role, you will help shape and support strategic activities related to international policy and geopolitical developments. You will work closely with senior stakeholders across regions and functions, contributing to global initiatives, thought leadership, and engagement activities.

As a Working Student, you will gain first-hand insights into how global policy developments influence the digital economy and how organizations engage with governments, policymakers, industry leaders, and international institutions. Your work will help strengthen our team's ability to create compelling narratives, foster meaningful stakeholder relationships, and execute impactful international events.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

  • Supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of international events, workshops, and executive engagements
  • Conducting research and monitoring developments in digital policy, technology regulation, geopolitics, and international affairs
  • Assisting in the development of presentations, briefing materials, talking points, and strategic narratives
  • Supporting stakeholder mapping, engagement activities, and relationship management
  • Preparing background analyses and summaries on emerging policy and geopolitical trends
  • Contributing to internal communications

What You Bring

  • Student (f/m/d) at a university or university of applied sciences Preferred fields of study: Political Science, International Relations, Public Policy, European Studies, Communications, Law, Economics, or a related discipline
  • Computer skills: AI-savvy and proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Language skills: Excellent written and spoken English (minimum C1 level); additional foreign language skills are an advantage
  • Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to structure and synthesize complex information
  • Excellent organizational skills and a high level of attention to detail
  • Independent, proactive, and reliable working style
  • At least 2 semesters till graduation left, to be able to support the team as a student for at least 1 year

Where you belong

You will join the Strategic Initiatives & External Affairs (SIEA) team within Global Government Affairs. We operate at the intersection of technology and international policy, supporting SAP on globally relevant issues such as digital policy, geopolitics, trade, and AI regulation. Our mission is to understand global developments, identify political risks and opportunities early, and foster dialogue with governments, the diplomatic community, and international stakeholders. We engage in major international events, develop strategic narratives, and support SAP’s global public policy positioning.
