Building a strong target operating platform that lays the foundation for future AI capabilities has become a key element of our strategy. AI is a major lever for reducing complexity in the underwriting process. For this reason, we are looking for an intern to help drive the implementation and roll‑out of AI use cases for underwriting, working closely with the Platform & Solutions team, Underwriting Business Units, and IT.
Your Job
- Support the Development team for agentic use cases in day-to-day Underwriting in evaluating and validating AI Use Cases in close collaboration with our Business and AI Experts
- Test the developed copilot agents and document test cases in Azure DevOps
- Use your data science knowledge to analyse business problems and enhance outcomes using AI and Large Language Models
- Support the Product Owner for agentic use cases in day-to-day Underwriting with project steering, planning and delivery
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g. Underwriting, IT, Data & AI) to advance AI in Underwriting at Munich Re
- Studies in Management & Technology (IT focus), IT, data science, or a related field (preferably postgraduate)
- Experience with AI tools (Microsoft Copilot or equivalent) and prompt engineering from previous internships or university projects
- Hands-on experience in Databricks, Python or similar is a plus
- Proficient knowledge MS Office365
- First work experience in IT projects with AI focus or equivalent is a plus
- Proactive, independent working style and a high level of ownership
- Open and approachable communicator who actively connects with others and thrives in collaborative environments
- Very good command of English (German is a plus)
