Job Purpose / Role

For our dynamic AGI Private Markets Tax Team, we are looking for a motivated working student or intern (f/m/d) with a passion for technology, digitalization, automation, and artificial intelligence. You will support our team in driving innovative solutions that transform how tax functions operate within a leading global private markets investment manager.

This role offers a unique opportunity to combine technology and business by working directly with tax professionals and other stakeholders to develop practical solutions that improve efficiency, data quality, and decision-making.

What You Do

  • Support the design and implementation of AI-driven solutions for tax transaction and compliance processes.
  • Identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks and improve operational efficiency through technology.
  • Develop prototypes, dashboards, workflows, and digital tools that support tax reporting, compliance, and data analysis.
  • Assist in the use of Microsoft Copilot, Power Platform, Python, data analytics, and other emerging technologies to solve business challenges.
  • Work with structured and unstructured data to improve data quality, accessibility, and reporting capabilities.
  • Support proof-of-concept projects in machine learning, generative AI, document automation, and knowledge management.
  • Translate business requirements into practical technical solutions and help drive their implementation.
  • Monitor market developments and research innovative technologies relevant to the future tax function.
  • Support ad hoc strategic and operational projects as required.
  • Lead internal technology know-how sessions with the tax team for ideation and learning.

What You Bring

  • You are currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • You are passionate about technology and enjoy applying technical skills to solve real business problems.
  • You have an interest in digital transformation, automation, AI, and data analytics.
  • You ideally already possess relevant experience with Python, SQL, Power BI, Microsoft Power Platform, Microsoft Copilot, Azure AI services or comparable technologies.
  • You enjoy learning new technologies and experimenting with innovative solutions.
  • You work independently, and can structure complex tasks as well as communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • You have a strong analytical mindset and a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
  • Prior exposure to financial services, asset management, tax, compliance, or regulatory processes is advantageous but not required.
  • Experience in applying generative AI tools like Copilot to improve operational efficiency
  • You are a team player with excellent communication skills.
  • You are fluent in English; German is considered an advantage.
