Working Student (m/f/d) – Investment & Portfolio Management (Remote)

German Ventures is looking for a motivated and analytically strong Working Student (m/f/d) to support our Investment & Portfolio Management team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in venture capital and startup ecosystems.
Company Description
German Ventures is a Munich based stage-agnostic investor /family office supporting early-stage US and German technology start-ups. Recently the company is looking for acquisition targets in Germany (German Mittelstand). We specialize in accelerating business growth through capital investments, strategic and operational expertise, and leveraging a robust network across Germany and the United States.
Your Responsibilities:
- Support the evaluation and analysis of potential investment opportunities
- Assist in due diligence processes, including market and competitor research
- Contribute to portfolio management activities and performance tracking
- Prepare presentations, reports, and investment materials
- Conduct financial modeling and data analysis
- Support communication with founders and internal stakeholders
Project Roll-Up Case:
As part of your role, you will work on a hands-on project analyzing a potential roll-up strategy within a fragmented market. This includes:
- Identifying and evaluating acquisition targets
- Conducting market mapping and competitive analysis
- Supporting the development of an investment thesis
- Assisting in financial modeling and synergy assessments
Your Profile:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Interest in venture capital, startups, and innovation ecosystems
- Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent English and German skills
- Structured, detail-oriented, and proactive working style

Versicherung prüfenInternationale Studierende
Studierende von außerhalb der EU dürfen 140 volle oder 280 halbe Tage im Jahr arbeiten (seit März 2024, zuvor 120/240). Ein Werkstudentenvertrag passt meist in diesen Rahmen — prüfe die genauen Grenzen auf deinem Aufenthaltstitel.
