Internship: Agentic AI for Telecom Research (m/f/d)

About This Opportunity

At the Ericsson Research branch in Germany, we work with concepts and technologies to shape the future of wireless networks. The research lab is part of a major Ericsson R&D center, located in close vicinity of the historic city of Aachen, Germany, in the heart of Europe. The Ericsson R&D center in Aachen-Herzogenrath is currently offering position for an internship students.

You’ll get the opportunity to

• Be assigned to an innovative research project, aligned with your individual interests, background, and skills. Our projects cover a very wide range of contemporary topics like for example: advanced industrial testbeds, Digital Twins, and in-depth studies on future 6G communication.
• Help to develop world-leading concepts and solutions for Beyond 5G and 6G wireless access networks and mobile systems which will turn the visions of the Connected Cyber-Physical World into reality.
• Learn to apply system level simulations and mathematical analysis to build resilient mobile radio networks.
• Collaborate with experienced researchers and other students in a truly international team.
  
  

Key Skills

• Enrolled as Master student in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with an above average record of accomplishment.
• Hands on experience with agentic systems (e.g., building or operating agentic workflows), gained through studies or projects — no formal work experience required; familiarity with tools such as Claude Code, Kiro, or similar is an advantage.
• Very good IT and programming skills (e.g., Python, Java, C++, MATLAB; GoLang is a plus).
• Eager to learn, expand as person, beiang open-minded and creative.
• Very good team working skills.
• Fluency in English, any other language will be an advantage.
