Your mission

Supporting the Preparation of DSEI Germany

  • Assist with the organisational planning and operational preparation of an international defence and security exhibition.
  • Coordinate and liaise with external service providers, suppliers, and partners.
  • Maintain and update project plans, Excel trackers, and timelines.
  • Support the preparation of meeting rooms, event spaces, and service requirements.
On-Site Support During the Exhibition
  • Provide operational support as part of the event team during the build-up, live event, and breakdown phases between late February and mid-March.
    Participation will be arranged in line with your academic schedule and availability.
Administrative & Organisational Support
  • Maintain and update data in Excel, Monday.com, and CRM systems.
  • Support the preparation and follow-up of meetings and projects.
  • Assist with budget tracking, supplier administration, and operational reporting.
  • Prepare presentations, reports, and organisational documentation.
Communication & Coordination
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across Marketing, Sales, and PR.
  • Coordinate external communication with service providers and, where applicable, customers.
  • Support cross-functional projects and operational processes.



Your profile

  • Currently enrolled in a degree programme in Event Management, Business Administration, Project Management, Communications, or a related field.
  • Structured, reliable, and solution-oriented way of working.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Confident user of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word); ideally with initial experience using CRM systems or project management tools such as Monday.com.
  • Excellent communication skills in German; good English skills are required.
  • Hands-on mentality and enjoyment of working as part of a team.
  • Willingness to actively support on-site operations during the exhibition.

DSEI is firmly established as the leading international defence exhibition in the UK and Japan. With the launch of DSEI Germany, a European edition will be added to the portfolio. The first event will take place from 9 to 12 March 2027 at Hannover Messe, one of the largest and most modern venues in the world.

DSEI Germany is aimed towards a high-level international audience, including over 1,600 exhibitors, government delegations, national pavilions and companies from traditional and non-traditional defence and security technology.

Dank des Werkstudentenprivilegs zahlst du keine Beiträge zur Kranken-, Pflege- und Arbeitslosenversicherung — nur die Rentenversicherung greift. Dir bleibt mehr netto als in einem regulären Job.

Versicherung prüfen

Internationale Studierende

Studierende von außerhalb der EU dürfen 140 volle oder 280 halbe Tage im Jahr arbeiten (seit März 2024, zuvor 120/240). Ein Werkstudentenvertrag passt meist in diesen Rahmen — prüfe die genauen Grenzen auf deinem Aufenthaltstitel.
