Position: DPM Internal Marketing & Communications Intern

Contract Type: 12 month internship

Travel Required: Less than 25%

Location: Bonn, Germany

The Divisional Performance Management (DPM) team is looking for an enthusiastic and creative Internal Marketing & Communications Intern to support engagement, adoption, and effective use of the DPM Power BI app suite across DHL Supply Chain. This role plays a key part in translating complex performance information into clear, engaging, and professional internal communications that support global alignment, leadership decision‑making, and the Management Review Process (MRP).

You will work closely with global stakeholders, senior leaders, and operational teams to ensure users are informed, supported, and confident in using DPM tools as the global standard for performance management.

Eligibility Criteria:

This internship is part of a local programme in collaboration with universities in Germany. To be eligible, candidates must:


  • Be based in Bonn or within a commutable distance.
  • Be actively enrolled at a German university for the entire duration of the internship.


As part of the application process, you will be required to provide documentation confirming your eligibility. This includes a valid ID, student visa (if applicable), and an official enrolment certificate.

Your key accountabilities include:


  • Creating, managing, and distributing professional, branded internal communications, including newsletters and targeted updates
  • Maintaining accurate, user‑friendly content across SharePoint and other internal platforms, ensuring materials remain current and relevant
  • Developing and maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs) for recurring communication, content updates, and knowledge management
  • Supporting onboarding and training activities by producing clear, engaging materials such as videos, guides, and presentations
  • Assisting with the coordination of the annual DPM user survey and supporting global best‑practice calls
  • Helping translate performance insights and dashboard functionality into accessible content that improves user understanding and engagement


What are we looking for from you?


  • Currently studying or recently graduated with a degree in Marketing, Business Communications, Advertising, or a related field
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to adapt messages to different audiences
  • A creative mindset with attention to detail and an eye for clear, consistent branding
  • Confidence using digital tools such as SharePoint, PowerPoint, and collaboration platforms; experience with video or visual content is a plus
  • Organised, proactive, and comfortable working with multiple stakeholders across regions and time zones
  • An interest in internal communications, data‑driven performance management, and working within a global corporate environment

Wochenstunden

Praktika haben keine 20-Stunden-Grenze, ein freiwilliges Praktikum über drei Monate muss aber in der Regel mindestens den Mindestlohn zahlen. Pflichtpraktika im Studium sind davon ausgenommen.

Sozialabgaben

Pflichtpraktika sind weitgehend von Sozialabgaben befreit. Freiwillige Praktika gelten ab einer gewissen Dauer als reguläre Beschäftigung, dann fallen meist Beiträge an.
