Who will you be joining?

You will join the Property & Casualty Center of Competence (P&C CoC) team within Group Risk at Allianz SE. The team develops and steers models that measure P&C underwriting risks and required capital across Allianz companies worldwide. We drive best practices in P&C risk management and support decision-making through data analysis and reporting.

How can you make an impact?

  • Supporting the maintenance and further development of Allianz’s internal insurance risk models, ensuring they are aligned with regulatory requirements, including accumulation management topics
  • Helping to develop guidelines and documentation and supporting colleagues from Group Risk and Allianz companies around the world
  • Developing or improving tools for risk capital calculation and reporting, mainly using Excel (including VBA), R, Python and Power BI
  • Assisting with regular risk activities and ad-hoc analyses

What are you made of?

  • Ongoing studies in actuarial science, statistics, mathematics, finance, economics, or a comparable field
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office; experience with VBA or R is a strong advantage
  • Very good English skills; knowledge of German is a plus
  • Curiosity, openness to new ideas, and interest in innovative solutions, such as artificial intelligence

Wichtiges für Werkstudierende

Was dieses Praktikum im Bereich Finance in Munich für dich bedeutet: die Vergütungsregeln, die Sozialabgaben und worauf internationale Studierende achten sollten.

Wochenstunden

Praktika haben keine 20-Stunden-Grenze, ein freiwilliges Praktikum über drei Monate muss aber in der Regel mindestens den Mindestlohn zahlen. Pflichtpraktika im Studium sind davon ausgenommen.

Werkstudenten-Regeln

Sozialabgaben

Pflichtpraktika sind weitgehend von Sozialabgaben befreit. Freiwillige Praktika gelten ab einer gewissen Dauer als reguläre Beschäftigung, dann fallen meist Beiträge an.

Versicherung prüfen

Internationale Studierende

Studierende von außerhalb der EU dürfen 140 volle oder 280 halbe Tage im Jahr arbeiten (seit März 2024, zuvor 120/240). Ein Werkstudentenvertrag passt meist in diesen Rahmen — prüfe die genauen Grenzen auf deinem Aufenthaltstitel.
