For our Latex Binders R&D Center of Excellence in Rheinmünster, Germany close to Strasbourg and Karlsruhe we are looking for a

Master Student in our Battery Application Laboratory

Responsibilities

  • Implementation of standard test formulations, establishment of new test methods and/or improvement of existing methods.
  • Formulations preparation, data acquisition and interpretation within project(s) related to the Battery (anode, cathode) field.
  • Learning of the lab specific safety procedures, analytical methods and laboratory operating procedures.
  • Close collaboration with the lab team.
  • Project presentation to the R&D Department at the end of the internship.

Qualifications

  • Master student in Chemistry, Formulation, Materials Science, Electrochemistry or related field.
  • Strong interest in working within application laboratory. Passion and curiosity for formulation, testing and chemistry.
  • Initiative and autonomy in carrying out the formulations and tests.
  • Good communication and interpersonal team skills.
  • Good working knowledge of English. German is not required, but is an advantage.
  • Good computing skills (Windows / Microsoft Office package).

Wichtiges für Werkstudierende

Was dieses Praktikum im Bereich Forschung in Münster für dich bedeutet: die Vergütungsregeln, die Sozialabgaben und worauf internationale Studierende achten sollten.

Wochenstunden

Praktika haben keine 20-Stunden-Grenze, ein freiwilliges Praktikum über drei Monate muss aber in der Regel mindestens den Mindestlohn zahlen. Pflichtpraktika im Studium sind davon ausgenommen.

Werkstudenten-Regeln

Sozialabgaben

Pflichtpraktika sind weitgehend von Sozialabgaben befreit. Freiwillige Praktika gelten ab einer gewissen Dauer als reguläre Beschäftigung, dann fallen meist Beiträge an.

Versicherung prüfen

Internationale Studierende

Studierende von außerhalb der EU dürfen 140 volle oder 280 halbe Tage im Jahr arbeiten (seit März 2024, zuvor 120/240). Ein Werkstudentenvertrag passt meist in diesen Rahmen — prüfe die genauen Grenzen auf deinem Aufenthaltstitel.
