LGT Private Debt is affiliated with LGT Capital Partners and operates as its private debt competence center focused on arranging and underwriting private debt investments for sponsored buy-outs of mid-market companies on a pan-European basis. Set up in 2005, the team of 45 includes 20 investment professionals based in Paris, London and Frankfurt, has completed over 135 transactions, which represent EUR 6.0 billion of committed investments.

As an Intern with the Frankfurt-based Private Debt investment team, your tasks and responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing and screening of investment opportunities including qualitative and quantitative analysis of business opportunities;
- Composing investment committees’ memoranda and credit papers;
- Financial modelling and valuation analysis;
- Assessment of business, financial and industry due diligence;
- Taking ownership of specific workstreams within due diligence and financial modelling, including preparing sensitivity analyses and scenario planning;
- Deal execution support on new deals and portfolio assets
- Portfolio monitoring including monitoring financial performance and covenants, engagement with management and shareholders, and working on events including new financing requests and amendments.
- Solid academic track record with a relevant Bachelor or Master’s degree in a top ranking university;
- Previous experience in investment banking, leverage finance, transaction services, strategic consulting, private debt or private equity;
- Proven interest in the finance industry, particularly in private equity or private debt;
- Strong IT skills (MS Office), in particularly Excel; financial modelling skills is an advantage;
- Fluent in English;
- Drafting skills required for composition of investment memos
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail;
- Self-starter with an independent working style;
- Self-motivated and pro-active team player.
