In a strongly growing market environment, our global unit supports the trading activities of the Client Solutions division at HypoVereinsbank and serves a diverse client base. Within our unit, you will gradually learn and carry out the operational processing of exchange-traded derivatives as an expert (m/f/d). After your onboarding, you will have an excellent understanding of products and processes and will apply this knowledge together with your dynamic and highly motivated colleagues (m/f/d) to support our colleagues at HypoVereinsbank both domestically and internationally.

What you can expect from us

  • Processing and monitoring of globally executed derivatives and securities transactions as part of the daily back office operations
  • Validation of trade details in trading systems
  • Enrichment of master data related to payment methods and settlement instructions
  • Preparation of trade confirmations
  • Reconciliation of positions with exchanges and clearing houses (positions, variation margin, premiums, and fees)
  • Execution of payments and deliveries
  • Booking of trading transactions in accounting systems
  • Provision of internal and external interfaces
  • Communication with clients (m/f/d) to further develop back office (BO) systems
  • Active support of the sales unit in onboarding new clients (m/f/d)
  • Close collaboration with the IT department to further develop trading and back office systems, particularly

What we expect from you

  • Completed degree with a focus on Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or Business Mathematics, or a comparable field
  • Experience in capital market products, preferably derivatives (exchange-traded products)
  • Basic understanding of derivatives (futures and options)
  • Very good Excel and programming skills are an advantage (macros, VBA, Python, SQL)
  • Strong analytical skills for reviewing and controlling complex transactions
  • Structured and reliable working approach
  • Very good written and spoken English skills

During your working student position, we offer you exciting practical insights, flexible working arrangements, and attractive learning opportunities in an international environment - with a remuneration of €18.06 gross per hour. This corresponds to classification in collective pay group 3, year 3, in accordance with the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement for the private banking sector. In addition, for the period during which you are employed as a working student with us, and adjusted to the agreed working time factor, you will receive a pro rata 13th salary. Based on full-time employment over an entire year, this amounts to €3,052 gross.
