Join our sustainability revolution: As an intern in our Sustainability Affairs or Strategy and Technology Team, you'll shape the digital future of our environmental footprint by combining data analytics, innovative technologies, and forward-thinking sustainability concepts into powerful solutions.

For our team in Frankfurt/Main (Clariant Innovation Center in the Industrial Park Höchst) we are looking for an Intern (m/f/d) - Specialisation Sustainability.

The position is temporary to 9 - 12 months and will be full time.

Responsibilities

  • Support the continuous development and digitalization of the Portfolio Value Program (PVP), including revising sustainability assessments and exploring digital tools for efficiency
  • Map and analyse internal databases, identify data gaps, and propose connections between systems while collaborating with IT to develop tools and solutions
  • Research and evaluate external sustainability databases to complement internal data sources
  • Assist in creating data integration solutions to improve sustainability reporting and portfolio analysis
  • Conduct research on emerging sustainability trends, regulations, and best practices to inform decision-making
  • Document data processes, methodologies, and findings to ensure consistency and transparency

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Data Management, Sustainability, Environmental Sciences, Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI); programming languages (e.g., Python) is advantageous
  • Understanding of data management principles and database tools; experience with digital workflows is a plus
  • Interest or background in sustainability topics, including sustainability reporting, ESG criteria, or life cycle assessment (LCA)
  • Proactive, organized, independent, and detail-oriented with a problem-solving mindset

Wochenstunden

Praktika haben keine 20-Stunden-Grenze, ein freiwilliges Praktikum über drei Monate muss aber in der Regel mindestens den Mindestlohn zahlen. Pflichtpraktika im Studium sind davon ausgenommen.

Werkstudenten-Regeln

Sozialabgaben

Pflichtpraktika sind weitgehend von Sozialabgaben befreit. Freiwillige Praktika gelten ab einer gewissen Dauer als reguläre Beschäftigung, dann fallen meist Beiträge an.

Versicherung prüfen

Internationale Studierende

Studierende von außerhalb der EU dürfen 140 volle oder 280 halbe Tage im Jahr arbeiten (seit März 2024, zuvor 120/240). Ein Werkstudentenvertrag passt meist in diesen Rahmen — prüfe die genauen Grenzen auf deinem Aufenthaltstitel.
