We're looking for a Software Engineering Intern to build full-stack applications that transform how HR works at Tesla. You'll use modern AI capabilities as part of your toolkit, work independently on high-impact projects, move fast, and see your code in production- used by thousands of employees across the company.

What You'll Do

Design, develop, and ship full-stack software solving real HR problems with measurable impact

Own your projects end-to-end: from understanding the problem, to writing the code, to deploying and maintaining the solution

Integrate modern AI/LLM capabilities into production applications to solve complex business problems

Work with HR partners, data engineers, and recruiting teams to understand problems and build solutions

Apply software engineering best practices including version control, CI/CD, and containerization

What You'll Bring

You've built and deployed something that other people actually used — in any stack — a live side project, a tool for your student org, freelance work, an open source contribution

Strong programming fundamentals and the ability to pick up new technologies quickly

Experience with web development stacks (TypeScript, React, or similar)

Good instincts for what's worth building. You think about impact, not just implementation

Self-starter with a strong bias for action — you take initiative and drive projects forward independently

Practical experience building with LLMs and AI agents

Excellent English. German is a plus

Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and PostgreSQL is a plus

Degree in Computer Science or a related field is a plus
