Our team of 1,500 Personios is building user-friendly products that delight our 15,000+ customers and their 1.5 million employees. Ready to make an impact from day one?

The Role: How you'll make an impact at Personio

You want to have a direct impact on Personio’s rapid growth? In this internship you’ll help us guide customers through their journey with Personio by supporting our Account Managers in day-to-day customer work and turning insights into actions that keep customers successful and satisfied.

You will be responsible for:

  • Supporting Account Managers hands-on and operationally in customer calls, emails, and meetings: helping deliver a smooth, professional experience across the customer journey.
  • Assisting with churn prevention and retention work: analysing customer signals (e.g., usage, feedback, health indicators) to identify risks early and support targeted follow-ups to increase customer retention.
  • Taking ownership end-to-end: managing tasks and follow-ups from start to finish (documentation, next steps, stakeholder alignment), ensuring outcomes are delivered reliably and on time.
  • Supporting process optimisation: helping improve workflows and setups so the team stays efficient while we’re fast-growing and priorities evolve.
  • Building tool proficiency: gaining hands-on experience with tools used in SaaS account management such as CRM systems and analytics/dashboards (e.g., Salesforce, Gong, Chargebee, etc.) as well as Google Sheets.
  • Learning how customer-centric teams operate: observing and contributing to how we run account management at scale, communicating proactively, adapting quickly, and collaborating with stakeholders across the business.

What’s in it for you?

  • Build resilience and self-confidence through real customer exposure and regular stakeholder communication.
  • Gain valuable experience in Sales and Account Management in a high-growth SaaS environment.
  • Get company-wide insights by supporting cross-departmental projects and collaborating with different stakeholders.
  • Set a milestone for your future career by gathering hands-on working experience and building a strong internal network.
  • Strengthen your presentation, negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.

Role Requirements: What you need to succeed

We’re seeking interns who can effectively communicate and build relationships with customers, listening carefully to needs and supporting the team in delivering the right solutions.

Hard Skills

  • You are a registered student in Business Administration, Economics, or a comparable course of study.
  • You have first experience in HR, SaaS Sales, customer service, and/or a startup environment (a plus).
  • You have experience creating analyses in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
  • You are fluent in German and English.

Soft Skills

  • Excellent people skills with strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing situations and customer needs.
  • A structured and analytical way of working, able to solve complex tasks in a goal-oriented manner and embrace new challenges.
  • High proactiveness, diligence, and a get-stuff-done mentality, comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
