Your Role

Key responsibilities in your new role

  • Shape the future: You’ll support in the electrical, electro-acoustical and optical measurements of MEMS sensor chips and packaged devices
  • Take responsibility: Conduct optical inspection of MEMS sensor chips and packages and you’ll be involved in the development of test/characterization setups
  • Identify needs: Carry out performance and reliability evaluations of chip-level and packaged MEMS sensors
  • Documenting results: Create reports and documentations of the respective results, including their analyses
  • Performance: You have the chance to work with Infineon’s MEMS experts, to do Bachelor/Master thesis in the group, and to be involved in R&D collaborations with external project partners and universities

Your Profile

Qualifications And Skills To Help You Succeed

  • Study field: You are currently studying Physics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry or similar field of study
  • Experience: You have already gained practical laboratory experience (experience in acoustic setup, microscopy, and electrical measurement is a plus)
  • Skills: You are experienced working with tools for data processing, analysis, and graphing or are eager to learn them
  • Personality: You have the ability to analyze and solve problems systematically and have great affinity for technical R&D topics. Strong interest to understand the physical phenomena from the measurement results would be a great benefit
  • Way of working: You work proactively and are a good team player with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Language skills: You have excellent English skills, both written and spoken. German is a plus

Important information:

  • Working part-time: The focus is on studies. That’s why working as a student employee during lecture period is limited to a maximum of 20 hours per week.
  • Proper students (according to the German law) are welcome: To work as a student employee with us, you must be enrolled at a university and not have completed all of your exams or modules for your degree programme. You must not be in a semester of leave. We look forward to welcoming you to our team for at least 6 months.
  • You should live close to the site: For good collaboration, it is important to us that you can come to the office regularly to integrate to the team.

Studierende von außerhalb der EU dürfen 140 volle oder 280 halbe Tage im Jahr arbeiten (seit März 2024, zuvor 120/240). Ein Werkstudentenvertrag passt meist in diesen Rahmen — prüfe die genauen Grenzen auf deinem Aufenthaltstitel.
