In this role, you will work in one of our IBM Consulting Future Now Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.
Your Role And Responsibilities
As a Working Student / Data Engineer specializing in Data Platforms, you will develop applications on Big Data technologies, including API development. This role requires a strong foundation in traditional Application Development, along with knowledge of Analytics libraries, open-source Natural Language Processing, and statistical and big data computing libraries.
Your Primary Responsibilities Will Include
- Assist with Application Development: Participate in developing applications on Big Data technologies, including API development, and learn from experienced engineers.
- Explore Analytics Libraries: Engage with Analytics libraries, open-source Natural Language Processing, and statistical and big data computing libraries to understand their applications and uses.
- Learn Complex Code: Observe and learn from senior engineers to understand, design, write, and debug complex code.
- Support Big Data Technologies: Contribute to the development and maintenance of applications on Big Data technologies, including API development.
Bachelor's Degree
Required Technical And Professional Expertise
- Basic Understanding of Application Development: Familiarity with traditional Application Development concepts and practices.
- Exposure to Analytics Libraries: Interest in Analytics libraries, open-source Natural Language Processing, and statistical and big data computing libraries.
- Interest in Big Data Technologies: Curiosity about Big Data technologies, including API development, and their applications.
- Basic Coding Skills: Basic understanding of coding principles and willingness to learn and understand complex code.
- Familiarity with API Development: Exposure to API development concepts and practices.
- Familiarity with Cloud Platforms: Exposure to cloud-based big data technologies and platforms is beneficial for this role.
- Knowledge of Scripting Languages: Interest in scripting languages, such as Python or R, can be helpful in developing applications on Big Data technologies.
- Understanding of Data Pipelines: Basic understanding of data pipelines and data processing workflows can be advantageous in this position.
