Do you want to gain hands-on experience in product management while working on software that truly makes an impact? At etalytics, we develop intelligent energy management solutions that help industrial companies reduce energy consumption, lower CO₂ emissions, and cut costs. As a Product Owner Intern, you will support our Product Team in Darmstadt and collaborate closely with developers, data scientists, designers, and domain experts on our etaONE® platform. You will gain practical insights into agile product development, modern AI-supported workflows, and the daily work of a fast-growing tech company.


*Full-time Internship, Duration three months, Hybrid work (Darmstadt & Home)*


Tasks

  • Support the Product Team in creating and refining user stories, backlog items, and feature descriptions

  • Help structure customer feedback and internal requirements to identify product improvements

  • Assist in agile meetings such as backlog refinements, sprint planning, and product demos

  • Collaborate with developers, designers, and domain experts to clarify requirements and support implementation

  • Maintain product documentation and support the preparation of roadmap and release materials

  • Work with modern AI-supported tools to organize information and improve workflows

  • Contribute your own ideas to improve usability, transparency, and product processes


Requirements

Must-have



  • Currently enrolled in business informatics, computer science, industrial engineering, Innovation Management, or a related field

  • Strong interest in product management, software development, and digital products

  • Structured and reliable working style with good organizational skills

  • Strong communication skills and willingness to work with different teams

  • Very good English skills, both written and spoken


Nice-to-have



  • First exposure to agile methods such as Scrum or Kanban

  • Initial experience with tools like Jira, Confluence, Miro, or similar

  • Interest in AI-supported workflows, sustainability, or energy-related topics

  • German language skills are a plus

Wichtiges für Werkstudierende

Wochenstunden

Praktika haben keine 20-Stunden-Grenze, ein freiwilliges Praktikum über drei Monate muss aber in der Regel mindestens den Mindestlohn zahlen. Pflichtpraktika im Studium sind davon ausgenommen.

Sozialabgaben

Pflichtpraktika sind weitgehend von Sozialabgaben befreit. Freiwillige Praktika gelten ab einer gewissen Dauer als reguläre Beschäftigung, dann fallen meist Beiträge an.

Studierende von außerhalb der EU dürfen 140 volle oder 280 halbe Tage im Jahr arbeiten (seit März 2024, zuvor 120/240). Ein Werkstudentenvertrag passt meist in diesen Rahmen — prüfe die genauen Grenzen auf deinem Aufenthaltstitel.
