Stellenbeschreibung
We’re looking for a hands-on intern to bridge the gap between hardware and software. You’ll work on classical industrial engineering challenges, playing around with and evaluating various sensors from different suppliers, conducting feasibility checks, and building prototypes to solve real tracking problems.
This is a 6-month, full-time internship with a strong opportunity to transition into a full-time role for the right candidate.
What You’ll Do
Employee Share Options Program for all permanent employees*
An increasing benefits list: currently includes Urban Sports club and quarterly team retreats.
Be on the forefront in defining what artificial intelligence means in manufacturing
Gain hands-on experience in working in an AI-first software company
Supportive and inclusive culture that values diversity and promotes the advancement of underrepresented groups within the company
Collaborate with a diverse (currently more than 10 nationalities) and talented team, working on cutting-edge projects with real-world impact
Network with professionals and leaders in the field, opening doors to potential future career opportunities
We have a very flat hierarchy, open 360° feedback, and flexible working hours
Ethics⚖: We are committed to developing ethical AI software
Don't meet all the requirements?
Deltia is committed to creating a workplace that is diverse, fair, and inclusive. We encourage candidates from all backgrounds, even if they do not meet every qualification, to submit their application. We firmly believe that having a team with diverse perspectives only strengthens our company and drives innovation. Our commitment also extends to providing an accessible environment for everyone, including those with disabilities. Please let us know if you require any accommodations during the application process or while working with us, and we will do our best to support you.
This is a 6-month, full-time internship with a strong opportunity to transition into a full-time role for the right candidate.
What You’ll Do
- Explore and test hardware in our Berlin office, set up test beds, and evaluate sensors (IoT, industrial, optical, etc.) from various suppliers
- Deeply understand current tracking and counting limitations, brainstorm ideas, and propose creative hardware/sensor-based solutions
- Use Python or/and C to interface with sensors, collect data, and build functional prototypes
- Validate whether a sensor setup actually works in a simulated production environment to complement our existing tech stack
- Collaborate closely with our engineers to work on hardware prototypes and sensor data
- Currently pursuing a degree in a relevant field (Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or similar)
- You have previous experience with embedded devices, IoT, or industrial sensors. A computer vision background is nice to have
- Interested in how physical sensor data (like time-of-flight, radar, or infrared) can blend with software approaches to solve complex tracking problems
- Able to look at a physical bottleneck, understand the root cause, and systematically test hardware to fix it
- You have strong prototyping and programming skills in Python
- You possess high motivation, love figuring things out on your own, and can push a project forward without needing constant hand-holding
