We are looking for a Working Student (m/f/d) to support our Target Costing @ Procurement team. As a Working Student, you are interested to bridge technical know-how with commercial cost efficiency.
You will
- Teardown Mechanical / Electronics telecommunication equipment and facilitate product cost breakdowns: Identify raw materials and components, understand technical functionality of modules and group them into functions including professional teardown documentation.
- Maintain cost engineering tools & databases
- Digitalize across procurement value chain, automation opportunities, efficiency measures via AI
- Research technology evolutions and inflation trends
- Perform component costs research and benchmarks
- Provide general support of the Target Costing team in and around the TC@P Labs and assist in organizational tasks
- You are pursuing an Engineering M.Sc. Study (Electrical or Mechanical or comparable area) and are available for 20h/week at our Office / Lab facilities in Bonn
- Previous internships, hands-on mentality and practical engineering experience (industrial manufacturing processes or practical electronics projects exposure)
- Curiosity in telecommunication technologies, interest in consumer electronics, telecommunication networks or manufacturing industries are a strong plus
- Proven track-record in digitization: Fluid in advanced Excel skills, some basic programming and interest to master PowerBI and AI frameworks. Digital Photography, image editing and layout skills as plus
- Pro-active, strong team player and consultant-minded with a focus on customer orientation
- Analytical, problem-solving skills and an ability to be pro-active with a sense of urgency
- High personal engagement in a dynamic environment where you can unfold your creativity
- Fluent Business English mandatory; French and/or German language skills are beneficial
- Practical experience in an international environment
