Our team at the BMW Group drives Open Innovation by supporting digitalization, sustainability, technology, and AI projects. Here, you will gain valuable experience in a dynamic, international environment and support innovation initiatives from ideation to piloting.

What awaits you?

  • You will support the creative vision and communication strategy of the Open Innovation team.
  • Furthermore, you help to develop engaging content for digital and print formats, ensuring alignment with our brand identity.
  • In addition, you contribute to crafting visually compelling and accessible narratives for complex innovation topics.
  • Moreover, you will assist in shaping a coherent communication journey from ideation to project piloting.
  • Furthermore, you support developing wireframes and prototypes for web and mobile applications.
  • In addition, you contribute to high-quality Figma designs for BMW AI products.
  • Moreover, you help internal start-ups with end-to-end product design.

What should you bring along?

  • Studies in UI/UX design, communication science, communication design, business, innovation management, marketing or a related field.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite and Figma.
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, including Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Experience in designing digital interfaces in Figma.
  • Excellent visual and written communication and marketing skills with strong presentation abilities.
  • Strong interest in automotive R&D, especially in Open Innovation, Lean Startup or Crowdsourcing.
  • Fluency in English and German.

Wichtiges für Werkstudierende

Was dieses Praktikum im Bereich Design in Munich für dich bedeutet — Vergütungsregeln, Sozialabgaben und worauf internationale Studierende achten sollten.

Wochenstunden

Praktika haben keine 20-Stunden-Grenze, ein freiwilliges Praktikum über drei Monate muss aber in der Regel mindestens den Mindestlohn zahlen. Pflichtpraktika im Studium sind davon ausgenommen.

Werkstudenten-Regeln

Sozialabgaben

Pflichtpraktika sind weitgehend von Sozialabgaben befreit. Freiwillige Praktika gelten ab einer gewissen Dauer als reguläre Beschäftigung, dann fallen meist Beiträge an.

Versicherung prüfen

Internationale Studierende

Studierende von außerhalb der EU dürfen 140 volle oder 280 halbe Tage im Jahr arbeiten (seit März 2024, zuvor 120/240). Ein Werkstudentenvertrag passt meist in diesen Rahmen — prüfe die genauen Grenzen auf deinem Aufenthaltstitel.
