Why can this position be exciting for you?
From day one, you’ll step into a role with genuine ownership over defined General Ledger areas, mirroring the scope and impact of a Junior GL Accountant. You will be an active driver of our financial operations, contributing directly to month-end and annual closings, HGB validations, audit preparation, and our upcoming Workday ERP implementation.
Your day-to-day will offer a rich, comprehensive view of corporate accounting, covering everything from fixed assets and accruals (ARAP/PRAP) to intercompany reconciliations and consolidation inputs. Most importantly, by taking charge of these critical areas, you will free up vital capacity within the GL team, directly enabling our transition to a new ERP and fueling major process improvements across the company.

You Will
- Own defined GL areas incl. related month-end closing tasks
- Account reconciliations, journal entry preparation, balance sheet reviews, data-quality checks
- Audit-ready documentation for annual closing, external audits, internal reviews
- Concrete GL areas: fixed assets, accruals and deferrals (ARAP/PRAP), intercompany, account analysis, consolidation inputs
- HGB validation of accounting and reporting data, clarification of inconsistencies
- Support for ERP implementation and process improvements (testing, data validation, new GL routines)
- Bachelor or Master studies in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Controlling, Economics, or related
- You are enrolled in a university program for at least one more year and intend to stay for 12 months or more
- Strong interest in accounting, ambition toward Junior GL Accountant level
- Solid spreadsheet skills (Excel, Google Sheets), interest in accounting systems, ERP, reporting files
- Your communication is clear and structured
- Fluent German and English
- Having experience in accounting, finance, controlling, audit, or administration is a plus
- Working with numbers and paying attention to details
- Taking over end-to-end ownership, and working independently
- Learning new things and have high level of curiosity
- Collaboration and knowledge-sharing
- For part-time contracts, adjustments will be made.
