Job Purpose/role

The Alternative Real Assets Equity team within AIM SE is responsible for asset classes including: Real Estate, Private Equity, Renewable Energy, Infrastructure, Decarbonization and Timberland. It forms the link between the Allianz Group sponsors (individual insurance companies) and the asset managers for the different asset classes. The team is based in Munich.

Key Responsibilities

As an integral part of the Real Assets team in AIM SE you will be supporting the team to:

  • Evaluate and perform due diligence of investment opportunities;
  • Independently monitor investment activities and manage transactional database for reporting purposes via Power BI and eFront.
  • Research new investment strategy ideas and support ad hoc projects, transaction specifics, due diligence and investment strategy presentations.
  • Support in transformational projects (e.g. Gen AI, process efficiency, reporting).

Qualifications

Key requirements / Skills / Experience

  • Advanced stage of your degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance or similar with solid credentials;
  • You must be enrolled in university during the whole duration of your internship. Please provide proof of your student status (matriculation certificate or equivalent);
  • Fluency in English (German would be a plus but not a necessity).
  • Previous work experience in investment related fields would be a plus.

Duration: minimum 6 months, full-time

Was dieses Praktikum im Bereich Finance in Munich für dich bedeutet — Vergütungsregeln, Sozialabgaben und worauf internationale Studierende achten sollten.

Wochenstunden

Praktika haben keine 20-Stunden-Grenze, ein freiwilliges Praktikum über drei Monate muss aber in der Regel mindestens den Mindestlohn zahlen. Pflichtpraktika im Studium sind davon ausgenommen.

Sozialabgaben

Pflichtpraktika sind weitgehend von Sozialabgaben befreit. Freiwillige Praktika gelten ab einer gewissen Dauer als reguläre Beschäftigung, dann fallen meist Beiträge an.

Versicherung prüfen

Internationale Studierende

Studierende von außerhalb der EU dürfen 140 volle oder 280 halbe Tage im Jahr arbeiten (seit März 2024, zuvor 120/240). Ein Werkstudentenvertrag passt meist in diesen Rahmen — prüfe die genauen Grenzen auf deinem Aufenthaltstitel.
