How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

Paving the way for the energy transition | Your role

You are part of an agile research team and support innovation projects for green hydrogen production, in which performance analysis and prediction are an integral part.

Your focus is on deploying and improving developed solutions for performance analysis of industrial water electrolysis plants. In doing so, you contribute to the reduction of our environmental footprint.

You are involved in the analysis of data and performance of industrial plants and their implementation in electrolysis models and their validation.

You enjoy constantly expanding your knowledge and feel confident in applying different techniques used in performance and lifetime analysis.

You work closely with other Air Liquide entities globally to drive the safety, reliability and efficiency of water electrolysis plants.

Become a part of our team | Your profile

Education: Master's in (chemical) engineering with focus on data analysis or electrolysis

Programming Skills: Algorithms in Python for data analysis using, i.e. libraries as NumPy, pandas and matplotlib. Knowledge in Seeq: Advanced Analytics, ML & AI for Time Series Data is a plus

Soft skills: Very good analytical capacities, a high level of self-initiative and problem solving skills, good communication and teamwork working within international teams.

Language: Fluency in written and spoken English is required. German useful but not mandatory

Air Liquide in Frankfurt is hiring a Research Engineer for Performance Analysis focusing on Green Hydrogen and Electrolysis to join its Innovation Campus. The role involves analyzing industrial data, implementing and validating electrolysis models, and working on solutions to improve the performance, safety, and reliability of water electrolysis plants as part of the energy transition. Ideal candidates hold a Master’s degree in chemical or general engineering with a focus on data analysis or electrolysis and should be proficient in Python for data analysis (NumPy, pandas, matplotlib). Experience with Seeq is a plus. Candidates should have strong analytical skills, self-initiative, and the ability to work in international teams. Fluency in English is required, while German language skills are helpful but not mandatory.

Wochenstunden

Praktika haben keine 20-Stunden-Grenze, ein freiwilliges Praktikum über drei Monate muss aber in der Regel mindestens den Mindestlohn zahlen. Pflichtpraktika im Studium sind davon ausgenommen.

Sozialabgaben

Pflichtpraktika sind weitgehend von Sozialabgaben befreit. Freiwillige Praktika gelten ab einer gewissen Dauer als reguläre Beschäftigung, dann fallen meist Beiträge an.
