Description provided by Marvel Fusion
Founded in 2019, Marvel Fusion is Europe's leading fusion energy company, uniting 75 scientists, engineers, and entrepreneurs across our locations in Munich and Colorado.
Backed by over €385 million in public and private funding, we're driven by a shared mission: to deliver clean, abundant energy to the world.
Why Marvel Fusion
By joining us, you will be:
- Solving one of the most complex technological challenges known to humanity, harnessing Fusion on Earth
- Part of a highly purpose-driven team working on providing the world with clean, safe and abundant energy
- Working alongside world-leading scientists and entrepreneurs in the field of Fusion
- Part of a start-up where growth on a company and individual level is the default
- This is not standard recruiting. You will not just work a funnel
- You work directly with the Head of People to build the best talent engine ever at Marvel Fusion
- Talent is the single highest-leverage input to a frontier fusion company. The quality of our people determines whether we hit milestones that have never been hit before
- This is a Talent AND Venture role: you learn to see the company as one system and build the talent and business infrastructure that holds it together
- Understanding the company as a whole system: how strategy, teams, OKRs, and capacity connect, and where the real gaps are
- Reading the current team as a set of personalities and strengths (MBTI, working styles, status quo), then defining who we need to hire to complement it, not duplicate it
- Hiring against strategy, OKRs, and utilization, not against open reqs
- Proactively and constantly searching for the best people in the world to build championship teams, not reactively filling seats
- Building the system that makes this scale: automations, workflows, and tooling (Claude Code, n8n, Make) so the talent engine runs without manual funnel work
- How companies actually function as an integrated system of people, strategy, and execution
- How to build championship teams from scratch
- What AAA talent actually means, how to spot it, and how to win it
- How to bring in the best people in the world, not the most available ones
- How to design and automate high-performing talent and business systems in a high-stakes environment
- Build the talent engine end to end with the Head of People: sourcing strategy, interview systems, evaluation frameworks, pipeline infrastructure
- Map the current team (personalities, strengths, OKRs, capacity) and translate strategy into complementary hiring plans
- Automate the system: build workflows and tooling with Claude Code, n8n, and Make so sourcing, screening, and ops run proactively, not manually
- Run the talent cycle end to end: screening, scheduling, candidate communication, debrief coordination (Bar Raiser), final-stage logistics
- Build venture and business systems alongside talent: market and technology mapping, competitive analysis, opportunity assessment, partner research in the fusion and deep-tech space
- Student or recent graduate in business, economics, Wirtschaftsinformatik, STEM, or related
- Systems thinker: you see how the parts connect, not just the task in front of you
- Comfortable building with automation tools (Claude Code, n8n, Make) or fast to learn them
- Exceptionally structured, fast, and reliable. You finish what you start
- Strong analytical and written communication skills
- High standards and judgment. You can tell the difference between good and great
- Comfortable owning ambiguous problems end to end in a high-pace environment
- Fluent English; German is a plus
- First experience in venture development, consulting, VC, or startups is a plus, not required
Working student essentials
