Description provided by Innovar Solutions

At Innovar Solutions, we specialize in the delicate surgery of modernizing operations directly on the factory floor. We architect custom software and integrate intelligent hardware layers that map exactly to our clients' operational DNA. By combining our expertise in high-performance enterprise platforms with physical automation, we build resilient, end-to-end solutions that help companies evolve without disrupting their daily operations.

To help us drive this mission forward, we are looking for an ambitious Working Student - Mechatronics Engineer (m/f/d) to join our Munich team.

As a crucial link between our software engineers and the physical world, you will help us design, build, and deploy custom robotic and mechatronic solutions for our enterprise customers. You will work on integrating sensors, actuators, and robotic end-effectors with our custom IoT Telemetry & Dispatch Portals. While your mechatronics background is key, you will have the unique opportunity to collaborate across disciplines, expanding your skills in rapid prototyping, hardware-software integration, and industrial automation.

Your Responsibilities

  • Designing, building, and testing mechatronic prototypes and custom robotic interfaces.
  • Integrating sensors, microcontrollers, and actuators to connect physical hardware with our software platforms.
  • Creating 3D models, technical drawings, and 3D printing custom mounts, housings, and mechanical components.
  • Assembling and wiring mechatronic modules for client-specific robotic solutions.
  • Collaborating with our software engineering teams to ensure seamless telemetry and data flow between hardware and custom ERP/IoT systems.
  • Supporting the team in daily operations, test bench setups, and the deployment of automation solutions.

We're looking for someone who has:

  • Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Hands-on experience with mechatronic systems, prototyping, or basic robotics.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or similar) and experience with 3D printing technologies.
  • Basic knowledge of electronics and microcontrollers (e.g., Arduino, Raspberry Pi, PLCs).
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (like Python or C++) for hardware testing is a strong plus.
  • A problem-solving mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly technical environment.

Why join Innovar Solutions?

  • Real Impact: Help us build the bridge between legacy industrial systems and state-of-the-art AI, IoT, and robotics.
  • Ownership: As part of a dynamic and growing tech firm, you will take on responsibility from day one, drive your own hardware projects, and see them implemented in the real world.
  • Growth Culture: Flat hierarchies, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and open communication support your professional and personal development.
  • Perks: Work out across Germany in over 7,200 studios with our subsidized Wellpass membership.
  • Flexibility: Flexible working hours tailored to your university schedule, a modern office in Munich, and hybrid work options depending on prototyping needs.
  • Team Spirit: Regular team events—from relaxed after-work gatherings to shared team experiences.
