By joining the Advisory team, you will be able to support a team with market-leading positions in all of its core markets, being within the Top 5 Mergermarket League Table position in all of its core markets (excl. auditors). The Advisory team, as part of Corporate & Investment Banking, consists of more than 100 professionals in offices in Italy, Germany, Austria and CEE.

What you can expect from us

Our dedicated DealSync Team focuses on the origination of transactions in the area of Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) for SME clients. As part of this role, you will gain insights into both the technical and practical aspects of M&A processes while supporting our Advisory DealSync Team.

  • Prepare and assist with DealSync presentations
  • Provide support to Corporate Coverage for all tool-related inquiries
  • Administer and maintain client information in DealSync
  • Assist in preparing strategic discussions with corporate clients
  • Conduct research and evaluation of potential targets and investors
  • Hands-on experience in M&A advisory
  • Exposure to strategic projects and client interactions
  • A collaborative and dynamic team environment

What we expect from you

  • Excellent academic achievements in an advanced stage of Business Studies or related courses of study with a proven interest in corporate finance or investment banking
  • Completed internship at a prestigious national/international business
  • Highly developed analytical and quantitative skills combined with the willingness and ability to learn quickly
  • Knowledge in fundamental and market-orientated valuation methods (DCF, multiples)
  • Excellent working knowledge of relevant IT systems (MS Office, especially solid excel skills)
  • Fluency in English and German in speech and writing

Weekly hours

Internships have no 20-hour cap, but a voluntary internship longer than three months generally has to pay at least the German minimum wage. Mandatory internships in your study programme are exempt.

Mandatory internships are largely exempt from social contributions. Voluntary internships are treated like regular employment once they run long enough, so contributions usually apply.
