The »Production Monitoring« department develops innovative software solutions for industrial X-ray and CT systems. Our work focuses on advanced methods for image processing, automation, and data analysis for applications in research and industry.

  • Develop intelligent image analysis: You develop algorithms for the analysis and processing of X-ray and CT data.
  • Turn ideas into software: You design, implement, and extend software components using C++ and Python.
  • Build modern applications: You help develop software solutions based on Qt and contemporary software architectures.
  • Drive efficient development: You contribute to the automation of build, test, and deployment processes using GitLab CI/CD.
  • Improve performance and reliability: You optimize existing algorithms with respect to performance, robustness, and maintainability.
  • Shape innovation from day one: You bring your own ideas to life and support projects from the initial concept through practical implementation.


What You Contribute

  • You are currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • You have solid programming skills in C++ or Python.
  • Ideally, you have gained initial experience with object-oriented software development.
  • Experience with Qt, Git/GitLab, or CI/CD is an advantage.
  • You enjoy working independently, taking initiative, and like collaborating as part of a team.

We will agree your start date and weekly working hours with you individually (as a working student 8 to 20 hours per week or for an internship at least three months) . You can reduce your hours before exams and increase them during semester breaks. You can set your working days flexibly. After your studies, there are attractive opportunities to join the institute on a full-time or part-time basis. You can flexibly determine the working days of your fixed-term employment contract.

Studierende von außerhalb der EU dürfen 140 volle oder 280 halbe Tage im Jahr arbeiten (seit März 2024, zuvor 120/240). Ein Werkstudentenvertrag passt meist in diesen Rahmen — prüfe die genauen Grenzen auf deinem Aufenthaltstitel.
